ABOUT MUN BAU
A background in science. A career in business. A lasting interest in people.

My path into training and speaking began long before I stood in front of a room.
A biologist by training, I’ve spent more than 30 years working as a consultant and senior project manager in tourism and destination development. My work covers business strategy, marketing, product creation and customer experience—and brings me into contact with people who often see the same challenge very differently.
In 2004, I served as Vice President of PMI’s Spanish PMBOK® Guide translation project, coordinating an international team of 35 people from more than 10 countries—aligning teams, managing milestones and resolving conflicts.
Alongside my consulting work, I’ve been an Associate Professor at the University of Girona since 2010, teaching tourism and business at undergraduate and master’s level, with experience teaching Customer Experience on the Erasmus Mundus European Master’s in Tourism Management (EMTM).
Over time, I found myself looking beyond the plans and projects. I wanted to understand why teams struggled, why conversations broke down and what helped people feel confident enough to contribute.
That interest led me to explore the social sciences: reading, researching and learning from others, while working on my own ability to listen, communicate and question what I thought I knew.
My background also includes training in coaching, emotional intelligence and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), reflecting my longstanding interest in how people think, communicate and relate to one another.
Today, I bring that learning together with the experience of working through real business challenges. I create talks, workshops and training that help teams and leaders understand human behavior—and use that understanding to build trust, navigate difficulties and work better together.

Tourism & Destinations
Working with destinations, businesses and communities has brought me into situations where people share a goal but see the way forward very differently. Coordinating those perspectives, navigating conflict and understanding what helps people contribute are part of my everyday work.
That experience informs the talks and training I offer today. Explore the background and selected projects behind my approach.
